How Can One Resist

I am truly a fanatic, I guess.  I was so excited yesterday on my trip into Kohl's when I saw this selection of Eric Carle's books.  Go ahead and drop the jaws now...I had never read Brown Bear, Brown Bear......

The other set was available before Christmas.  I still need to read the four by Nancy Tillman.

I think my husband might regret ever expecting our first grandchild (supposedly a boy) in May.  We might have to add on to our brand new house already.

I guess I better get busy looking for a job now that I have all of this newfound love for children's books.

The Package in the Mail

This is the book I won during Dr. Perry's challenge over the holidays.  I wish I could have responded to more daily challenges.  It was fun and Karin and Julie had so many great challenge ideas.  Thanks!

Happy New Year, 2012

My first book for the year was Wonderstruck.Product Details  Brian Selznick did it again with this wonderfully amusing book just like Hugo.  I wonder how many more he will give us in this unique format.
I am trying to update my Goodreads submissions but is seems like everytime I try the site is down for some reason.  I am going to try and read 60 books for the Goodreads 2012 Challenge.  I figure on 3 picture books and 2 YA novels each month.  That seems manageable for my first challenge attempt.

HBRC Day 11

The 26th line on page 26 "...wire, storage batteries, and electricity."
Ray Bradbury's FAHRENHEIT 451
Product Details
I finished this just last night.  I get the literal but please help me with any "hidden meanings".  I don't see how an 8th grader is going to understand this on their own.  I sure hope my son's teacher does a good job of teaching it.
